Courses are on a Saturday and run from 9.30 – 4.30
and cost £90 per person.

The course runs from 9.30 – 4.30, please arrive 15minutes before the beginning of the course.
The scythe is an enjoyable and versatile tool. It can be used to manage grass and will also cut through brambles, rushes, weeds and small scrub. It is also very useful for cutting round trees and used in tight spaces. Scything is a low impact, gentle and efficient tool to use and therefore can be done by all ages.
On this one day course you will learn how to
Set up the scythe to fit you
Scythe efficiently and effectively
Maintain and keep your blade sharp
Manage and establish wildflower areas
Use grass cuttings as mulch
The course is outdoors, hands on and practical. Please bring your wet weather gear, although fingers crossed sunhats will be needed. Closed toe shoes must be worn.
Please bring all food and drink to last you the day. I will provide herbal tea and a light snack.
Please note: that if you need to cancel participating in a course for any reason I cannot give you a refund unless your space can be filled.
