“Ross has been working with us for about six months now and has already had a big impact on our unruly garden! Our small orchard is now full of new local trees and the grass beneath them, having been scythed by Ross in the autumn, has come out of the winter in the best condition ever, plus the trees have been protected from close growth by the cuttings laid around them.

When he pruned the trees recently, he used the cuttings to create two twig hedge sculptures which are also wildlife habitats (as well as being very beautiful). His work is neat and in tune with the land he is working on and he has achieved a remarkable amount in a short time, without power tools.

Ross is full of ideas and proposals and is very knowledgeable about garden maintenance, planting and design. We love the way nothing goes to waste but is woven into a dead hedge or used as mulch. This quiet, thoughtful gardening chimes in well with nature, but has also made our garden more productive, manageable and beautiful.”

“Ross has been working with the 4 acres here over the last 18 months. He has supported me in moving from a place of overwhelm into a place of delight and engagement. He has a great ability to listen – not only to the land and what is wanting to unfold; but also to himself and his own inherent ability to be in dialogue. i have felt hugely supported not only by his integrity and his ability to put in a good days work but also his willingness to walk calmly alongside me in a process. He way of working is not only respectful of ideas but involves a reciprocity with Nature that means the place has begun to thrive. I have valued his clear boundaries as much as his work and could not recommend him enough to anyone wanting to grow a relationship with Nature or their garden.”

“You have a confident and calm connection with the land. I like the way you make bold decisions about where and what should be taken out or planted. You have a sensitivity to the land as it is and bring your knowledge where appropriate. It’s good not to feel so overwhelmed by all the things that need attention on the land and to gradually regain our connection and grow confidence from a place that is supported by you.”

“Ross has been working on our garden for a year now. He has transformed it from an abandoned over grown patch of earth, to a naturally managed peaceful Eden for us to enjoy. We respect his approach to the land, how he works with it, to encourage local plants to thrive and always taking into consideration the wildlife and the seasons. Using his hands instead of machines gives the whole space a much softer appearance that feels loved rather than manicured. Always punctual, clear communication and a friendly face to have around.”
